CATH 155 - Worship & Cath Imag
Prayer and worship today includes many different types of expressions from traditional to contemporary and everything in between. In this class we will explore the principles of worship and what makes Catholic experiences Catholic. How does the Catholic Imagination view music and liturgy, and how does that compare to other faith traditions? The Catholic Imagination engages us in how we think about our experiences of worship, symbol, and ritual, and in how we define the meaning of sacramentality, sacrifice, and transformation.

Ultimately, liturgy is about more than a Catholic way of doing ritual or of experiencing worship. It is about a Catholic way of looking at life. It is a sacramental world view that goes beyond the doors of the Church itself into all of life.
