EHSY 671 - Health Informatics
This course provides a managerial perspective on the effective use of health information
technology (HIT) in healthcare service organizations to provide safe and effective patient
care, manage healthcare operations, enhance communication, assess and improve
organizational performance, provide input for needs assessment and strategic planning, and
assure accountability. The course is not intended for database programmers, HIT managers, or
others in similar positions, but rather focuses on the use of technology in healthcare
management and practice.
