FREN 467 - 20th Cen Fren Arts:Photography
In this course, we will study various critical texts written by some of the most important 19th and 20th century French poets on modern and avant-garde art (with an emphasis on Dada, Surrealism and Cubism).

We will analyze works by Baudelaire, Valery, Breton, Reverdy, Ponge and Michaux in order to stress the ongoing and profound aesthetic relationship between the literary project of the poet and the artistic project of the painter in modernity.

This courses fulfills the upper-division post-1800 literature requirement for the French major.
