HSCI 415 - Environmental Management
This course is an overview of approaches to environmental management.  Issues related to human health – “pollutants”or “toxicants” in air, water, soil, or food will be scrutinized. The impact and relationship of humans, science and the environment will be examined with particular emphasis on the basic tenets of environmental management: water quality, solid and hazardous waste, vector control, food protection and air quality. Workable strategies for dealing with environmental management issues will be examined and discussed.
