INAF 445 - Nigeria: Conflict & Change
This discussion-based course examines Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country and the continent's largest economy. The course focuses on: (1) political history, (2) corruption, (3) religion and conflict, (4) film and culture, and (5) challenges. Readings include academic literature on Nigeria as well as primary sources produced by Nigerians. Written assignments ask students to master core historical knowledge about Nigeria, reflect on readings, and produce a research paper.
