MATH 325 - Biostatistical Methods
This course introduces students to a variety of statistical techniques used in the analysis of data resulting from biomedical research. A variety of study designs (from clinical trials to cross-sectional and case-control studies) are examined along with the relevant statistical methodologies including the analysis of two-by-two tables, survival analysis, and nonparametric methods. Occasional guest speakers will include biostatisticians from the DC-metro area and beyond. Statistical computing is performed using the statistical freeware tool, R.
