PPOL 661 - Genomics, Precision Med & PPOL
This 3-credit seminar course explores the social and policy implications of hot issues and controversies related to the application of genomic medicine to deliver precision or personalized medicine.  No prerequisites are required as understandable scientific background will be provided as needed.  Classes will be interactive, with conversation and policy debates facilitated by the Professor.   Designated student discussion leaders will provide supplemental materials and highlights of central points.  Students will post and respond to “blog type” reflections online and will prepare two short policy briefs to present to the class.  The semester will culminate with a multi-faceted panel discussion.  Finally, students will complete a take home exam
