STIA 461 - SR Sem:Tech, Sci & Devel
This seminar course will explore the many ways in which technology and science influence developing countries, and the policy issues that they raise. The technologies it will consider will range from the urban to the rural, from the high- to the low-tech, and from large infrastructure projects to small farms. There will be brief lectures, and a variety of student presentations and interactive exercises. This course will count toward the STIA senior seminar requirement. It is open to all Georgetown graduates and undergraduate students, but preference will be given to seniors majoring in STIA and candidates for the STIA certificate.
