THEO 167 - Intro to Buddhism
This course provides an introduction to the teachings and practices of Buddhism, from its origins in India, through Southeast Asia, Tibet, China and Japan and up to the present, including the Theravada, Mahayana, Tibetan, Zen, and Engaged Buddhist schools. Emphasis is on Buddhist thought and spirituality. Attention is also given to Buddhist arts and social engagement.
