BIOL 004 - G-Ecology
The overarching course goals are to improve student ecological and environmental literacy, Earth stewardship, and environmental communication skills in view of learning goals of the Department of Biology. Students learn about basic ecological and environmental concepts that relate, in particular, to GU and its environs and their lifetime Earth stewardship. They study GU (e.g., air, buildings, energy use, gardening and landscaping, invasive and native species, recycling, transportation, and water use); nearby urban street trees and nature; and a nearby urban park as case studies. G-Ecology has guest speakers and local walks to examine GU’s environment directly.
