 IPOL 330 ISD Fellows Seminars

These seminar courses are taught by active duty State Department foreign service officers or U.S. army or air force officers who are resident fellows at the SFS Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. The courses examine the tough questions and dilemmas in the practice of contemporary diplomatic and/or military statecraft, They rely on cases studies, policy-related research, and group exercises that focus on the the changing nature of the policy tools available to states and the context in which they are used. Written assignments tend to be short briefs that reflect the kind of work required in the worlds of foreign and national security policy.
