MGMT 580 - Understanding Entrepreneurship |
This course was formerly numbered STRT 580. Students who have completed STRT 580 may not register for this course.
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. Describe what “entrepreneurship” is and what it isn’t, debunking the many myths surrounding entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs
2. Articulate how entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in regional, national, and global economic development
3. Describe in detail how entrepreneurship is likely to impact their own life and career
Note: This course is NOT a “How To” course. We will NOT focus on topics related to “how to start a business,” such as how to write a business plan, how to raise money, etc. Those topics are covered in other courses such as: BADM 706, MGMT 571, 574, and 575.
