STRT 591 - Economics of Strategic Behavio
Key topics of This course will focus on the dynamics of entry and the impact of global competition, the strategic dynamics of competitive markets, the primary sources of competitive advantage (local and global), managing competitive interactions through cooperation and preemption, bargaining situations, the impact of information distribution, financial implications of strategic economics. \ The emphasis of the course is on the ability to apply a small number of principles effectively and creatively, not on the mastery of detailed aspects of theory. The course is particularly relevant to those pursuing careers in strategy consulting, equity and investment research, asset management, investment banking, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital, entrepreneurship, marketing and brand management, international business development, public sector management and non-profit management.
