PHYS 446 - Fabrication&Char:Nanomaterials
Full Title of Class: Title: Fabrication and Characterization of Nanomaterials This course is intended to introduce graduate students as well as advanced undergraduate students to state-of-the-art nanofabrication techniques and physical properties of nanostructured materials. Main topics include vacuum basics, various types of advanced nanofabrication and nanopatterning techniques, common methods for structural, chemical, and magnetic characterizations, and physical properties of nanostructured materials. Some lab demonstrations will be included. In the last month of the semester, students will carry out a small research project, utilizing what they have learned in the course, and present their findings.
