SOCI 4961 - Sociology Senior Seminar I |
This one-credit course is required of all senior sociology majors not enrolled in Project DC (SOCI-437). In the fall semester seniors develop their senior thesis ideas through workshops on research questions, methodologies, theories, and writing issues. It will only meet once a week and not every week. The final product is to get you committed to a realistic/ feasible/ and sociological thesis project. Every student who takes this course is expected to end the fall term with two written items completed and accepted by the instructor in the course: a formal thesis proposal and either a written review of the relevant literature (like a first thesis-chapter) or an annotated bibliography of the relevant literature. These materials will be used in the spring semester Sociology Senior Seminar (SOCI-304). 3.000 Credit hours 3.000 Lecture hours 0.000 Lab hours Levels: Undergraduate Schedule Types: Seminar Sociology Department |
